Magic Of The Old Classic Movies

Classic movies never lose their charm. They are evergreen and never go out of style. The magic of the old classic movies will remain in the hearts of millions of fans forever. Old classic movies are generally the personal favorites of many people. It becomes really difficult to choose some of the movies from the vast ocean of creativity. Style and creativity come together to make a movie classic. We will discuss some old classic movies here.

Let’s start with an all-time favorite classic movie, “Ben Hur.” This is an epic movie, brilliantly made with effects and styles. Expensive sets and costumes make the movie even more grand. The fight scenes are immortal and it is a favorite of all ages. Charlton Heston played the title role and did an excellent job. Yule Breyner was as good and as wicked as ever. The greatness of the Roman Empire has captivated viewers around the world.

Another movie that is a true classic movies turns out to be “The Sound of Music.” An adjective will be inadequate to describe this brilliantly impressive film. An all-time legend in its own right, this movie has been a favorite from generation to generation. Set in the context of the First World War, the film was shot in beautiful Austria. The songs are legendary and the actors, Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer and those seven little children of Captain VonTrapp were incredible.

Another harvest has to be “Gone with the Wind”. It’s a classic romance story, starring Clarke Gable and the vivacious Vivian Leigh. The immortal character of Reth Butler played by Clarke Gable makes the movie timeless. Vivian Leigh has never looked so beautiful. The film was shot brilliantly in a Wild West location.

Old Classics includes all the works of the great master Charlie Chaplin. The craziest of masterfully crafted comedies in the silent film era will always be like monuments, standing still even in the most adversities. “Lime Light” and “Great Dictator” happen to be my personal favorites. The grandmaster created brilliant magic on the screen in harsh conditions and when there were practically very few gears, which are needed to make a movie. Even without sound, the master created something that he left the viewers speechless.

Another old classic movie is “Cleopatra”. The main character was played by Elizabeth Taylor. Her husband Richard Burton also played a significant role in this film. A well-shot movie against the backdrop of the Roman Empire, the movie is unique. Charming Elizabeth created a story with her outfit and appearance as Cleopatra. She looked ravishing in the movie and acted radiant. The movie was a huge box office success.

Finally, a movie that should be mentioned while talking about the old classics is “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.” It is a very nice movie to watch with lots of humorous scenes and well portrayed characters. It’s a feel-good movie with all the ingredients to make all the viewers happy and content in the end.
