Romford boy, 16, charged over murder of Eghosa Ogbebor, 14, in south-east London

A 16-year-old boy from Romford has been charged with the murder of Eghosa Ogbebor, 14, following a shooting in south-east London last week, the Metropolitan police has said.

Eghosa was shot dead near Woolwich Dockyard train station. Police said the case has led to a further arrest, with another 16-year-old boy taken into custody on Friday on suspicion of murder.

The Metropolitan police said the second teenager remains in custody.

The charge marks a significant development in the investigation into the killing, which has drawn attention because of the age of the victim and the two teenagers now linked to the case.

Police have not released further details about the circumstances of the shooting in the latest update, but the investigation is continuing.
