1.CHANGE YOUR MORNING ROUTINE
Start the day off on the right foot and get moving as soon as you wake up – a yoga session, a quick morning run, or a quick workout at the gym to boost your circulation. Do you not talk about doing sports in the morning? Try parking away from your workplace. If you take public transport, get off one stop earlier and walk. The extra advice? Try to do without coffee …
2.TAKE THE STAIRS
If you want to get in shape, forget the elevator and take the stairs. You will easily increase the number of daily steps while strengthening your quadriceps and glutes.
3.MEETINGS ON THE GO
Have you ever considered how many hours you spend sitting in a meeting each week? Even if you don’t know the exact number, one thing is certain: there are too many. A good way to vary is to have a few meetings while walking with colleagues!
4.STAND UP MORE OFTEN
Did you know that standing up regularly can help you lose weight? One study showed that a person weighing 65 kg would lose 10 kg over 4 years if they stood 6 hours a day instead of sitting. ( 1 ) While it may seem unlikely, it is still worth standing longer. Sitting too long hurts, increases the risk of injury, and can negate the benefits of training.
5.PLAY SPORTS WITH COLLEAGUES
Everything is easier in a group: if you find it hard to find the motivation to train, join the people who have the same goal. You can go for a walk outdoors during your lunch break, 10 push-ups every hour, or a run after work. KissAime are endless possibilities!
